Magical Cenotes

Explore one of the most magical places on Earth — the cenotes of the Yucatán Peninsula. These natural sinkholes were formed by the gradual collapse of limestone bedrock over millions of years, revealing vast pools of crystal-clear freshwater. Their unique atmosphere, deep stillness, and the dramatic play of sunlight, create scenery unlike anywhere else. Divers, freedivers and swimmers travel here from around the world to experience the clarity, silence, and otherworldly beauty of these waters. For the ancient Maya, cenotes were sacred places. During our expedition, we will visit three different locations across Yucatán and explore different types of cenotes, each offering unique experience.

An Experience to Remember
This event is suitable for adventurers as well as beginner and advanced freedivers. In some of the deeper cenotes (50 meters), we will have a buoy and line available, allowing for some light training; however, the main goal is to explore the natural beauty and enjoy the experience of being and diving in the cenotes themselves. In addition to the cenotes, we will also explore the local rainforest and culture. This event is particularly unique because on March 20, we will witness one of the most significant astronomical and cultural phenomena in the region. At sunset, light and shadow align on the most sacred Mayan pyramid, creating the illusion of a serpent descending from the sky. The price for this event starts from 1600 EUR, excluding flights.
