ADVENTURER,
MENTAL COACH,
KEYNOTE SPEAKER,
EXPEDITION LEADER,
ATHLETE
As a coach and tutor, Katarina works primarily with leaders and athletes. Her expertise lies in stress and performance management, mental resilience, and well-being. She combines authentic insights from her former athletic career with over a decade of experience as a mental coach in both business and sports environments. She also integrates her formal academic background in psychology with elements of Eastern philosophy, such as meditation techniques, bringing a diverse array of knowledge and skills to her clients.
Katarina is a soft skills tutor at PwC Academy Slovakia. She has created several soft skills programs and is currently developing her own method for stress relief. She delivered her services to clients such as Swiss Re, IBM, Intesa Sanpaolo, KIA and many others. In 2021, Katarina was nominated by Social Awards Slovakia as one of the 15 most influential personalities in the category of Public Health. She has been featured in media outlets such as Forbes, Red Bull, Marie Claire among others.
A former elite freediver, in 2013, Katarina became the third-deepest female freediver in the world in the CWT discipline, reaching a depth of 85 meters. At just 20 years old, she became the youngest woman ever to reach the bottom of the legendary Egyptian Blue Hole (93 meters) on a single breath. She has starred in two movies and has worked on several documentary series about nature. As an adventurer, expedition leader, and instructor of various sports, Katarina brings people closer to nature and an active lifestyle through her Club Point 93 — a community dedicated to sports, well-being, and adventure.
Katarina uses her platform to advocate for destigmatizing mental health in the workplace, in the world of sports, and among the general public. She also raises awareness about the environmental challenges she witnesses firsthand during her expeditions. She has been the face of numerous charitable campaigns and currently leads two pro bono initiatives: educational presentations for children about aquatic ecosystems, and special sporting events for individuals with disabilities.
Katarina’s life has been shaped by her love for the natural world, her passion for sports and psychology, and her ongoing battle with a serious chronic illness, as well as a diving accident that nearly cost her life. After the accident, she was forced to retire from athletic pursuits and lost everything that had been dear to her at that time. She was also diagnosed with a new painful illness. But Katarina refused to give up. She chose to focus on new horizons, including science, sport psychology, freeride skiing and developing ClubPoint93, among others. Despite the challenges of declining health, a near-fatal accident, and a forced career change, Katarina has achieved many of her dreams—and she continues to work toward new ones. Her story is a testament to never giving up on one’s dreams and on the joy of life.
