Underwater Caves – Gozo Island, Malta
Gozo Island, part of Malta, is a small jewel in the Mediterranean Sea. On land, the golden tones of the local limestone, from which the vast majority of buildings are made, create a stunning spectacle. For those seeking adventure and lovers of the sea, however, Gozo’s greatest treasure may lie in its waters: numerous underwater caves, tunnels, and cavities where you can even breathe. What makes them truly exceptional on a global scale is their depth—many are as shallow as just 8 meters, making them accessible to beginner freedivers. Combined with amazing visibility, this creates an unforgettable experience.
